A belated baby shower? Yes, that’s right, our little Timothy decided to arrive a day before his baby shower! So, since everything was already organised, we still went ahead with the party to celebrate his 1 month!
When I was planning together with Pauline from The Party Studio, we decided it would be nice to have a unique travel-themed baby shower that was a little different to the “Baby on Board” theme, and we came up with a “Special Delivery” idea. After researching, we decided that we liked the red and blue postal colour scheme and decided to have parcels, letters, packages and postage stamps for the party with a little touch of vintage.
Guests had a place where they could leave a little note of advice at the Cards station and pop their messages in envelopes on the board. For a chocolate hit, Triple choc brownies wrapped in parcels, parcel fudge cake pops and vintage stamp chocolates were displayed on the table. The turquoise and red cupcakes added a pop of colour to the table and each one was topped with unique postage icons and stamps. I loved the vintage soda and ice-cold drink wooden tray boxes that Pauline sourced for the Drinks Station where guests could enjoy a Gorgeous Geisha iced tea from T2, a lemon lime bitters or a cranberry juice with matching red and blue cups and straws. On their way home, they could stop by at the Collection area and fill up a bag of sweet treats and pick up a personalised hand painted thank you cookie.
