The front door to Springtime is a photographer’s best friend. ~Terri Guillemets
Winter this year though has been so incredibly mild and warm, with beautiful sunny 20+C days, that it feels like Spring has been around for months!
With the warmer weather, we have been spending a little more time outdoors with our 9 month old. What’s been amazing is how much you can learn about seeing and appreciating the wonder of nature from a little baby.
He’s been teaching us to see light (of course only a photographer’s child could do this!), light reflections in particular and how it illuminates faces and flickers as the sun moves. As we watch him mesmerized by the light, I can’t believe how fast he has grown and changed so much. Sometimes, we forget that he has never ever seen these things (that we turn a blind eye to each day) before in his life! I love watching him follow the chirping sounds of birds flying by; the little grin as he feels the wind blow on his face and listening as the wind rustles the leaves and new buds in the trees. We are so thankful for this little miracle teaching us to slow down, breathe in the Spring air and thank God for his creation.
Traditionally, Spring is also a time for us to dust off the cobwebs, and give the house a good Spring cleaning as we prepare for longer, warmer days… a new start.
This Spring, we’ve had a bit of a Spring Clean ourselves here at eclektic. We’re excited to announce the relaunch of our brand! We are now no longer Eclektic Photography + Design but we are now Studio Eclectic!
This has been a long time in the making… but we’re so excited to reinvent ourselves with this brand refresh. Our new website is now live! And our new blog will roll out in the coming weeks.
We hope you like our new look and feel! We certainly think it is more consistent in reflecting our identity to deliver sophisticated, elegant and classic photography.
