The Sydney University campus is best known for it’s iconic Great Quad, surrounded by stunning sandstone Oxbridge architecture. No wonder why it’s a popular spot for couples to take photos on their wedding day. On Elissa + Pavo’s wedding day, we had the opportunity to go to Sydney University for their location photos, and besides shooting around the Great Quad, we also took the opportunity to explore other aspects of the campus.
The new Law School Building was an amazing place to explore and photograph. The Law School Building has actually received a number of architecture awards for its design and construction. Under the overcast skies that day, it was a feast for the creative senses and juices to explore and experiment amongst the contrasting modern architecture. I love modern architecture and the use modern materials like steel and concrete creates amazing textures and reflections and patterns. Modern architecture really creates and brings a different dynamic and energy to images when you introduce a bridal couple to the landscape. Hope you like it!
